dhabas in Bangalore

Dhabas are the presevers of Indian food in our nation. Where everything has taken to modernization, our dhabas remain unshakeable in approach. Food is an essential part of the day, and a trip. I have travelled a lot and eaten out a lot too. But this blog is dedicated to the dhabas of Bangalore. I made a trip to this city with a few friends two months back. You will find all types of food in the city, but if you're a Punjabi, and you're missing Punjab, then Bobbys dhaba is the place for you. This typical punjabi road side dhaba is a favourite of many. With below average ambience and very simple menu, this dhaba in Bangalore is a must visit. The 6 yoes of paranthas to choose from and a few punjabi recepies, is enough to satify anyone, because all this comes with mutta (buttermilk). bobbys dhaba is easy to locate. Its right next to Ulsoor lake, adjacent to the Gurudwara. you might have to wait at this dhaba in Bangalore. But the wait is all the worth. Till th time you don't get a table, the aroma of the paranthas, make you desperate.

Like many other punjabi dhabas, bobbys dhaba is a vegetarian dhaba. The only non-vegetarian dish that it serves is egg bhurji. At first the ambience was a turn off, and the place looked overcrowded, but after the food came, everyone had seemed to have forgotten everything.

I definitely feel they should try to improve their service. As copmpared to all other dhabas in Bangalore, I would rate this place 4 stars. The food served in all the other dhabas in Bangalore is overrated and not even close to punjabi. But bobbys dhaba has seemingly captured a big clientel with its yummy authentic punjabi food.

Radio Taxi

Whenever you need them they are on their way! Its quite relieving for me today to know where ever I go, I can safely come back home. Thanks to the radio taxi service launched in Delhi in 2006. Its a relief to all those who don't know how to drive, or don't feel safe driving at night. Now you can't be penalized for being drunk anymore. Just call a taxi at the venue and it will take you home safe. And if your car breaks down, and you have an important appointment, the radio taxi is at your service. Just make a call to the customer care of the taxi and the operator finds out the location of the taxi and how long will it take to reach you. These taxis are expensive as compared to other means of transport, but are today one of the most reliable modes of transport. Mega Cabs  and Meru Cabs are some heroes in the business. And in a city like Delhi, where you can get confused with the roads, or don't want to be late for the first day at work, take a cab to work. Its fast and yet comfortable. All taxis today come with ACs. Can be a little harsh on the pocket, but definitely saves time. As it is rightly said- time is money.

Masala Singham

Just another masala movie. The actor has a steroid body. You can clearly see the definition of the muscles-not good. But what i liked about the movie was the introduction of cotton and silk suits in a fashionable way. The lead actress is seen wearing cotton and very basic silk suits in the movie. The traditional suits look classic and very trendy. They have been designed in a way to give them a a contemporary look, which works for me.
For dress material in your city see http://www.grotal.com/Bangalore/Silk-Suits-C67/

All over i think the movie is just hyped, like dabaang, though an entertainer. Its the story of a small town cop, who is transferred to Goa by a gangster for revenge. It showcases how the cop fights for justice, despite of several odds. For reviews see http://entertainment.oneindia.in/bollywood/reviews/2011/singham-review-200711-aid0097.html
